Do you find yourself continuously putting off a task….aka procrastinating.
Fortunately there is a very simple and extremely effective technique you can use to overcome procrastination.
Every morning, instead of starting with checking emails, social networks etc, dedicate the time, instead, to tackling the most difficult task you have.
Its simply a matter of going through your list of tasks and deciding on which task you feel is most difficult. Its important to be honest about this. Don’t be a wuss and pick something you know will be easily completed. Set yourself a challenge.
After completing this “difficult” task you will feel a sense of achievement and will be motivated to keep on powering through your task list.
Now compare this to “starting easy”. Instead of powering through your to-do list, you will jump around from task to task while putting off the “big one”. You will keep telling yourself your getting work done, but really you are just procrastinating.
Remember the 80/20 rule.   80% of your profits or results, will come from 20% of the work you do. The rest is fluff. And more often than not the “hard tasks” will fall into the 20%.
