Heres a quick update on some of the work we’ve been doing on Task.fm
Create Reminders via Email – If you’ re a member of Task.fm you would have received an email (last week) letting you know you can now create reminders via email.
If you haven’t tried it out yet, give it a go. Send an email to reminder@task.fm (using the email address you registered with) and we will process it – extract the dates, time, event etc.
You don’t need to enter anything in the subject (as we ignore it) and you can leave your email signature/ads/junk at the bottom as we process it out.
Design Changes – Although a brand new design is in the works, we have done some tweaking to the home page and registration pages to make things a little more logical.
Huge new updates are coming soon. I’m super excited! Keep up to date over on Twitter or FriendFeed

Task.fm isn’t unique, we have natural language processing that extracts dates and times at deadlineapp.com, which Mashable even reviewed (before Task.fm launched).

Deadline seems to be fairly different. Task.fm not only supports Twitter, To-Do lists, Voice Call reminders, but it also handles repeat events and the ability to change reminder types with natural language.
Task.fm also uses advanced mail handling techniques that don’t require users to remember a unique and therefore complex email address (just send anything to reminder@task.fm) and we filter out email signatures and other unrelated email content, so the reminder text can be put in the actual body and not in the limited subject line.
So we think Task.fm is pretty different.
